Patek Philippe and El Cronómetro, watchmaking excellence

The Geneva (Switzerland) watchmaking firm Patek Philippe, and the Sevillian watchmaker El Cronómetro organized last night at the Casa de Salinas an exhibition of the different collections of the luxury brand. It was a special occasion in which guests were able to admire a hundred of the most exclusive watches, which can hardly be seen together in stores, as there are waiting lists of up to 4 years and sometimes, the pieces leave to be delivered to their owners. Founded in 1839, Patek Philippe is the last independent family-owned Genevan manufacture and enjoys total creative autonomy that allows it to conceive, produce and assemble what specialists agree are the finest watches in the world. It has ten core values: independence, tradition, innovation, quality and craftsmanship perfection, rarity, value, aesthetics, service, emotion and legacy.

In the hands of the Stern family since 1932, the firm created in 2009 the Patek Philippe Seal of Quality, the only one that guarantees the lifetime maintenance of the watch, regardless of the date of manufacture. It is governed by more than 65 rigorous criteria, under the supervision of an independent inspection body.

Knowing the excellence of the Geneva firm, the watchmaker El Cronómetro, founded in 1901 and a benchmark in Seville, has been the sole retailer of Patek Philippe in Western Andalusia for 30 years. The establishment, located in Sierpes street, is part of the traditional Sevillian physiognomy and is owned by the Sanchís family, seventh generation of master watchmakers from Valencia.

El Cronómetro has an industrial watchmaking department where the Monumental Water Clock of the Seville Expo was redesigned, and the 18th century clock from Monasterio de la Cartuja was restored.
