Cuervo y Sobrinos
Before Cuba ceased to be a colony dependent on Spain, Don Ramón Cuervo established what would become one of Havana’s most emblematic jewelry and watchmaking shops. With the help of his close relatives (hence the name Cuervo y Sobrinos), the brand grew and expanded across Europe (France and Germany). Ten years later, it reached La Chaux-de-Fonds, the heart of Swiss watchmaking.
After World War II, the flagship store became a must-visit for the era’s notable personalities visiting Havana (Churchill, Einstein, Hemingway, Neruda…). However, the political events of the time severely impacted the brand, leaving it inactive for 40 years. In 2002, the entrepreneurial spirit of Marzio Villa revived the brand, reestablishing it as one with a unique personality.
