Gucci Founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci, the brand introduced Swiss Made watches in the 1970s, and in 1997 added silver jewelry, made in Italy, to its catalogs, followed in 1999 by a collection of fine gold jewelry.
In 1972, Gucci became one of the first luxury fashion houses to enter the watchmaking sector, creating iconic models that combined modernity and tradition, innovation and craftsmanship, fashion and elegance. Since then, Gucci watches have always been manufactured in Switzerland and assembled in the firm’s watchmaking workshop located in La Chaux-de-Fonds. This combination of Swiss watchmaking tradition – always employing the highest quality components – with Gucci’s attention to detail and Italian touch is what has allowed the brand to continue writing new pages in watchmaking history for over 40 years.
